 Say hello to Cupid Picatoo, a delightfully whimsical felt  pup on a necklace made of tulle, seed pearls and grosgrain ribbon. He is an absolutely one of a kind folk art necklace and even has his own little bow and arrow made of found objects and pink aluminum wire! His hair is a feathered tuff of black boa, the eyes are pink and white sparkly pom poms with sequin pupils. His smile is formed from a fragment of faux floral and the nose is a round wiggle eye. A black satin ribbon makes a big bow around his neck and the piece de resistance is a vintage floral heart on the left chest . Friendship Baptist Church is a lovely and warm place to visit nearby in Fort Myers.

My beloved 93 year old mom Janie at Manor Care Nursing Home at Lely, Florida lives about 45 minutes from us so we see her often!

A Bigger Minnie

Hello all! Just a little update on Minnie the 2nd.

I'm wrapping her in batting now and putting on her nose, eyes, and lashes.
Then I will seal her head with premium sealant.

I was not happy with the original head so more clay and sanding are necessary. These are some of the fabrics and  goodies I will use on this dolly.  I love pink!

Minne The 2nd

This Minnie will have a completely different vibe from Minnie 1. She has a much bigger smile but the nose is a bit smaller. Her primary wardrobe color will be pink! That's as far as I can go for now. Who knows what may happen tomorrow???  Have a happy week!

Forlorn For Minnie

I am missing my first Minnie Mouse so much I've decided to make another one! I wonder if this is the start of a new obsession for me? I may decide to keep her unless someone persuades me otherwise! Then I just may sculpt a 3rd Minnie!
