Farmchic Steampunk Doll

The patchwork cutie is finally finished. She's 20 inches tall and 12 inches wide from tire to tire. Dollye is made of polymer clay, aluminum wire, plaster of paris, fiberfill, denim, cotton and burlap fabrics. Her country braids are imported english mohair and is topped by a handmade patchwork farmer's cap. The hair and cap are permanently attached as is the clothing, base, and tires. She comes with her own hand made pitchfork and steampunk trimmings. The zipper unzips about halfway down her hefty solid base. Her arms are attached and can be gently posed from elbow down.

Patchwork dolly is painted with artist's acrylics and sealed with a matte finish. A lot of hours were involved in the making of this wonderful doll. The denim was hand frayed and makes this a very special doll. She has a cute denim blue nose! Send all inquiries about  this doll to cheekyroseboutique@live.com. Enjoy the pics!
Can you believe I painted her in blue water colors then found out that water colors tend to fade  in Polymer clay over time. So I spent a couple of hours removing the blue paint and sanded, sanded, sanded!!

Almost There!

That's right, it's a cap! After I finish her cap, paint her face and hands, put eyelashes on the uncovered eye and make her tags she will be complete I think! You never know what last minute demands she may throw in the bucket, the prima donna!

It obviously needs a bib and more trim for the crown.

Patchwork Crazy!

No, it's not a blankie. It's not a rug. It's not finished. It is a lot of fun!

I really dig the zipper!

She Grew Hair!

Farm Chic Steampunk Girl has a full head of black mohair and long braids country girl style. Alright, so it will take me longer than a week to finish. She keeps adding things to her list of accessories and is a very flighty girl!

Doll N Progress

Slowly but surely dollye's coming along! The idea of the doll has changed several times and went from Victorian steampunk to something else altogether. I hope to finish her in a week. God bless!
