Farmchic Steampunk Doll

The patchwork cutie is finally finished. She's 20 inches tall and 12 inches wide from tire to tire. Dollye is made of polymer clay, aluminum wire, plaster of paris, fiberfill, denim, cotton and burlap fabrics. Her country braids are imported english mohair and is topped by a handmade patchwork farmer's cap. The hair and cap are permanently attached as is the clothing, base, and tires. She comes with her own hand made pitchfork and steampunk trimmings. The zipper unzips about halfway down her hefty solid base. Her arms are attached and can be gently posed from elbow down.

Patchwork dolly is painted with artist's acrylics and sealed with a matte finish. A lot of hours were involved in the making of this wonderful doll. The denim was hand frayed and makes this a very special doll. She has a cute denim blue nose! Send all inquiries about  this doll to cheekyroseboutique@live.com. Enjoy the pics!
Can you believe I painted her in blue water colors then found out that water colors tend to fade  in Polymer clay over time. So I spent a couple of hours removing the blue paint and sanded, sanded, sanded!!

  1. Totally fantastic Farmchic for sure! I like all of the charming embellishments and her quirky attire. Looks like she is 'ready to roll!'
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Yes, that ceiling is crazy in that one photo I posted! We purchased that house for a song as it was a foreclosure and we 'could', you know? It's like God dropped it into our lap...I just hope it wasn't Satan...as it is a handful to take care of! Life has its odd twists and turns.
