                                 Say Hello To Ruby!!!

Ruby is my newest dollie, finished finally amid tons of boxes and chaos as I prepared to move to a new residence! I've barely escaped with a vestige of my sanity intact, thank God! Nevertheless, Ruby is a vision of loveliness, showing off handmade tags as a  pretty robin red breast nestles in her quaint little basket. She wears the prettily decorated straw bonnet she insisted on having to adorn her soft ebony mohair. Her entire outfit is hand stitched and she wears a bum roll beneath her petticoat to enhance her figure. What a doll!!

                New African American Primitive Dollies!

This little cutie is 10 year old Lula and her cloth dolly Lillie! Both are dressed in hand stitched outfits ready to go visiting with Mama! I think I will be focusing on more African American 19th century dollies for a while. The larger naked dolly is waiting rather impatiently to be dressed in her finery as well! She wants a bonnet to complete her ensemble so I guess I'd better be about it quickly!
